We encourage every Parish/Ministry Unit to support the attendance of at least one member from your leadership, or the whole team, for this Diocesan Training Day. It is an expectation that those who hold a licence (clergy and lay) will make this event a priority.
Registrations closed on 14th October, however late registration requests can be provided to Ms Carolyn Phelan (Bishop’s PA),bishopspa@wtanglican.nz, and will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

Content will include:
expectations of our leaders, especially in regards to best-practice training and accountability, so that all people - including children, young people and vulnerable adults - can be safe and thrive,
key speaker Ms Diana Langdon speaking about child protection and safeguarding children in our faith communities,
hearing from clinical psychologist Ms Dianne Cameron, along with some practical scenario training,
Ms Hera Clarke – Commissary for Reconciliation and Restoration,
information to opt-in to children’s ministry network and training opportunities,
insights from senior leaders in our Church,
an opportunity to connect with other leaders across the diocese.
Although we will not be providing accommodation, if you are travelling a good distance we have listed below some recommended places to stay, and we hope that your ministry unit is able to support you in this.
